crazy 3D video animation

I recently re-stumbled upon this video: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19gmq_alias-sixes-last_creation

It's all fake. 3D rendering of crazy plants, creatures, and wild things, but they look so real! I think i first saw this 2 years ago, so if they can make things so believable then, and probably all paid very insignificantly, just think of what can be done now, with lots of money, and lots more people behind the project. Basically, we're living in a world where we can't believe what we see with our own eyes unless we're actually viewing it through our very own eyes with no medium involved. that's actually pretty scary.
